An Old-School Wazi Summer

Imagine giving your child a summer they will talk about for years, not because of a screen, a gadget, or a packed schedule, but because they discovered who they are when they were encouraged, supported, and truly included.

This 4-week summer session at Camp Waziyatah in Waterford, Maine offers exactly that kind of experience. Known as Wazi, this traditional co-ed overnight camp has been welcoming kids for more than a century. Set on 130 breathtaking acres with a private 3.5-mile lake, Wazi feels like the kind of place childhood memories are meant to be made.

From the moment your child arrives, they are welcomed for who they are. Whether it’s a first summer or a returning one, every camper belongs. The atmosphere is warm, inclusive, and intentionally old-school in the best possible ways: no tech, no phones, no distractions, just kids being kids again.

Days are filled with classic camp adventures, time on the lake, creative activities, challenges that build confidence, and laughter that carries long into the evening. Campers are encouraged to try new things, to take healthy risks, and to discover strengths they didn’t know they had, while always surrounded by caring staff who make sure no one falls through the cracks.

Wazi is comfortable without being flashy. Cabins have running water and hot showers, but the real luxury is something rarer: a close-knit community where values like kindness, integrity, responsibility, and respect are lived every day. It’s no surprise that Camp Waziyatah was twice chosen by the Disney Channel for Bug Juice, or that it remains the highest-rated camp in Maine and in the top 50 summer camps in the United States.

By the end of 4 weeks, your child comes home a little taller, a little more independent, and a lot more confident. They return with new friends from across the country and the world, stories of campfires and lake days, and a sense of belonging that lasts long after summer ends.

This auction lot is the gift of a transformative summer, one that helps your child grow, connect, and thrive in ways only camp can.
