Refined Calligraphy Wines Beckon
Calligraphy Wines is a female owned-and-run Winery in Sonoma County. With an emphasis on limited quantities of high-quality artisanal wines, it produces an exclusive small-lot Pinot Noir from the acclaimed Bootlegger's Hill Vineyard in the Russian River Valley appellation. This spring and summer, Calligraphy Winery will also start planting their Gorthy-Challa Vineyards, their prepped twenty-four-acre estate in Sebastopol, where morning fog blankets the land every day, making it ideal for Pinot Noir.
A former apple orchard, Bootlegger’s Hill Vineyard was once a moonshine operation in the hills of the Russian River Valley. The vineyard sits at 750 ft. elevation above the fogline between the towns of Sebastopol and Occidental surrounded by redwood and fir forests. Due to the cooler climate at Bootlegger’s, the wines tend to be elegant and rich. Six different clones planted here make it unique. 115, 667, Pommard, 37, Calera and Elite all offer up something a little different to each other and yet still have distinctive Bootlegger’s characteristics.
Indulge with 6 bottles of the extraordinary 2021 Calligraphy Wines Pinot Noir sourced from the Bootlegger's Hill Vineyard. Meticulously crafted with expertise to captivate your senses, this single vineyard designate wine is only accessible through allocation.
In addition, for those seeking an elevated experience, an exclusive barrel tasting will be arranged. It will be led by the Calligraphy Wines winemaking team at their Sebastopol crush facility and barrel room in Balletto Vineyards. This unique event will feature the highly anticipated inaugural single vineyard Chardonnay and the 2023 Pinot Noir.
